A peaceful recoding typical of early summer in the midwest. Recording done in the middle of a big field composed of alfalfa grass and milkweed. Recorded with marantz pmd661 using two matched stereo, samson co2 condenser microphones with my record volume on 7. Saturday may 23rd, 2015, around 6:00pm.

Car comes to a stop and idles for a while (windows slightly open). Traffic passing it is heard before it pulls off again.

Record of the walk and start of the car. On the recording you can hear footsteps on the rocky ground. Opening the car and then putting the key to the ignition and starting the car. I recorded this while searching for farm sounds. On the recording you can hear footsteps in the grass, then the opening of the latch in the gate to the field and then further steps. This short recording was made during a sound search in the scotish border area of scotland. I recorded on the zoom h5 handy recorder, i used superlux headphones. I heard these owls outside my window this evening. I live next to a large field and it attracts birds of prey frequently. I managed to capture them conversing back and forth.
